To be with other canaries
To have canary seed to eat and fresh clean water to drink every day. A canary needs to have grit to help its digestion and fresh chickweed or dandelion leaves sometimes
To live in an aviary or large cage which needs to be kept clean and tidy
Water to bathe in
Twigs from fruit trees to perch on
Shade from sunlight
A vet if unwell
To be looked after when you are on holiday
To be handled gently and with great care.
