Terms & Conditions

Please read our Terms and Conditions of our Cat Boarding facilities carefully as they are designed to safeguard the health and well-being of your cat.

  • Your cat's vaccinations must be up-to-date before we can allow them to board with us. Only cats that have a current vaccination certificate against Feline Infectious Entiritis & upper respiratory infections (Cat Flu) can be accepted for boarding. Owners must produce an up-to-date inoculation certificate on arrival. We will need to see proof of vaccination beforehand.
  • Your cat(s) must be treated with an anti-flea and de-worming treatment like Nexgard Combo or a similar treatment bought from a veterinary practice. Flea / De-worming treatments bought from a pet shop are not sufficient for us to allow your pets to be boarded with us.
  • Please note all cats must be in good health, fully vaccinated and free from any disability, illness or condition within the last 30 days.
  • Male cats over the age of seven months, which have not been neutered, will not be accepted for boarding.
  • No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or contagious disease can be accepted. All cats will be examined on arrival, therefore the proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing any signs of ill health, pending the advice from one of our Veterinary Surgeons. Owners will appreciate that this is essential, in order to safeguard the health of all the cats boarded.
  • Owners must assume responsibility and assume all liabilities for any harm caused by their cat(s) to any person or property.
  • Cara Veterinary Hospital, our staff and volunteers will not be liable for any problems that develop, provided reasonable care and precautions are followed.
  • Owners must provide a contactable number with the hospital, either for themselves or for another person responsible for the cat's wellbeing.
  • Veterinary attendance is assured and any treatment considered advisable will be carried out. All treatment prescribed prior to boarding can be continued during the cats stay. Any veterinary expenses incurred must be covered by the owners.
  • Whilst every care and precaution is taken during boarding, responsibility can only be accepted at the owners risk.
